Learning from the Best

I recently finished reading Snuff (39th Discworld novel, 8th City Watch story) by Sir Terry Pratchett. Pratchett is a writer I greatly admire. His works are the products of genius. I study how he constructs his stories and how he uses words. I could never, nor would I want to, be able to replicate in my work the genius he brings to his, but I do learn simply by reading what he has written. How to use what I learn to improve my writing is my challenge.
